When going for a cycle ride, it is essential to be well equipped. According to the distance; fruits, water and other snacks rich in energy are important.
When it comes to safety there are various sectors/areas concerned: from visibility with front and back lights and bright reflective jackets to helmet quality and durability.
In today's news (12th January 2014) an article was published regarding a paper helmet for cyclists!!!
Confused?
...But how can paper be safer? And what else can it offer to the future of head protection?... Source
With the skill of product and graphic design, @KraniumDesign has been able to create the perfect fit to protect riders against head and brain injuries.
Anirudha Surabhi is the man behind the idea. Experiencing a cycling accident is not fun, scary too and there is a certain fear to go back on the saddle, especially after a violent shock.
It seems that this "paper helmet" is a winner - after specific safety tests, the green light is on.
The inspiration for this product? The woodpecker and the beauty of nature and recycling materials.
...It pecks at about ten times per second and every time it pecks it sustains the same amount of force as us crashing at 50 miles per hour," says Surabhi...
Anirudha is after the strongest and safest device in order to absorb the eventual impact to the maximum.
This new object can take 3 times the amount of impact as a regular Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) helmet.
A real relief and revolution, which will alleviate the worry of a lot of riders.

So the cost of such is relatively affordable. But why talking price when it comes to safety and head protection?
